Since 2009 The Island has been serving up Canadian mountain fusion. Enjoy a relaxing morning having breakfast on their patio and take in the fresh mountain air. This restaurant is highly recommended by the locals and it’s easy to see why. Their french toast is some of the best I have ever had. It’s made with quinoa bread which gives it a thick and fluffy texture. They serve it with a homemade rosehip syrup that gives it a nice subtle twist but really makes it stand out. The entire staff is warm and welcoming at this rustic restaurant. Our Weekend Getaways team spent a morning enjoying their spacious patio. There was a light misting of rain but we stayed under cover and still got to take in the wonderful views.
